I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey as my car and need to install car seats for a 2 1/2 year old and an infant. Should I attach the infant carrier car seat in the left or right seat of the second row? Am I better off sliding the second row right side seat to the middle or leaving the seat all the way to the right side?

I know they say that once you are in an accident, you are supposed to replace the car seat, but i’m wondering if that applies when the child wasn’t in it? I drive a crew cab silverado and my daughter (15 mos) rode to our parents home that is eleven hours away in a non reclining car seat and cried the whole time!! Very miserable to say the least! Anyone recommend a good reclining toddler car seat that would fit in my truck? Thank you a million times over!
